Trestleboard Messages for October, 2001 From the East Brethren:       No article from Master        Return to Top From the West Brethren       As I have mention to you before, the strength of the lodge is in the strength of it's members and our willingness and ability to put forth quality programs to bring member's together. The two activities discussed below, are two of the key activities for our future success and growth.       The Lodge has decided to put forth the money and purchase a Kids ID computer system. The availability of the system creates many more opportunities for the Kids ID program. We can have more flexible schedule and more members will be available to help running the booth. Even though the new equipment will not be available till after the Kids ID event of October 13th and 14th, we will peruse to finish the research on what choices are available to us and if we can get a discount.       Upcoming Kids Id program is on October 13th and 14th, 2001 in George Izay Park on Olive Boulevard. Magnolia Park 618 and Burbank Lodge 406 will share the days of the event Burbank will run the booth on Sunday, October 14, 2001.       The Constitution program promises to be informative and interesting. The focus will be on the basic rights that come from Bill of Rights: e.g. freedom of speech and assembly, right to speedy trial, rule against self-incrimination, eminent domain, etc. Please come and join your public leaders in discussing how these issues effect your day-day life. The event will be on Thursday, October 18, 2001 at 6:00 PM. The program will start with social hour at 6:00 pm with appetizers and refreshments. The main event will start at 6:30 pm and will last 60-90 minutes.       Please make an attempt to call us with your reservations for the events since it allows us to be better prepared.
