Trestleboard Messages for June 2002

From the East

Brethren:
As we finalize the details for the Table Lodge, we are able to make some improvements that will help our members. The cost of the Table Lodge has been reduced to $40. The event will be on June 18, 2002 and include all four lodges of the district. A visit from our Grand Master and Grand Officers will be a focal point of the evening.
On the other hand, due to lack of participation, we have scaled back our Degree trip. We will not have the bus for the transportation and will be driving to San Diego. The cost of the trip has been adjusted down to reflect that. Call Mark Canterbury for more information and details.
Call the lodge and make reservations today. Your participation is what makes the lodge.

Fraternally, Edward

From the West

Hello Brethren!:
It’s June already - WOW! The year is flying by. So far we have been having a great time in and out of the lodge. Events like Burbank on Parade and Public Schools Night were huge successes.
Things slow down a little bit this month. The highlight of June is the Table Lodge event on the 18th. This will be a DISTRICT EVENT so we hope to, and should have an outstanding turnout. You definitely want to get your reservations in early.
We ran our Child ID program twice this past month, once at Burbank Fire & Police Service Day and again at Burbank Block Party. The turnout at both events was terrific. As many of you know, we are in the process of building our very own Child ID computer system. Currently, we are dependent on a loaner system from Grand Lodge. We have run into a little snag with the Child ID software operating on the Windows 2000 system. The problem is being address by the local Grand Lodge Child ID representative and we hope to be up and running soon.
Those of us who are participating with Bethel 97 in the “Secret Dad” program are having a ball! We are slowly beginning to receive letters, invitations and have small pranks played on us. Recently Brother Steiger left Lodge to find a white apron left on his car from his secret daughter. She mentioned he would know who she was when he saw her, because she would be the one wearing a white robe! If you are not involved now but would like to be, please contact Worshipful Chris Barnes or myself.
Fraternally, Greg

From the South

Brethren:
Welcome to June! To get things started I would first like to thank Worshipful Harry Gunn and Worshipful William Cunningham for their hard work in the kitchen for our annual Trout Fry dinner.
Next, I would like to congratulate Worshipful Richard Carter once again on attaining the 50 year mark in Masonry and having the honor of receiving the 50-year pin that goes along with that accomplishment.
For the month of June we have the Table Lodge as a 326th Masonic District event on June 18th, which should be an exciting evening at Burbank Lodge and a very crowded one as well. This night will be a great display of one of our Masonic traditions. Please contact the lodge and make a reservation to confirm your place at one of the tables (Masons Only). I look forward to seeing all of you. Have a great month.
Fraternally, Jason

From the Secretary's Desk

Brethren,
The Lodge is in the process of printing a new Lodge Roster. If you have any changes to your information, now is the time to have your information updated. Call the Lodge and leave a message or send any updates immediately to the Lodge.
Do you know any Brother who is missing, ill or not feeling good call and leave their name and phone number with the Secretary. This information will be given to the Master and Chaplain.

Fraternally,

Norm Furman, Secretary

For the Ladies, from the First Lady of 406

From Elizabeth Avetisian:
I hope you all had a memorable Mother's Day, whether you remembered your mother or spent the day with her, or were treated yourself as a special mother, it's a day spent worthwhile. Thanks to all the Ladies and their guests who participated in our Mother's Day Tea. We had a lovely evening with enchanting harp music, wonderful food and teas, and a beautiful atmosphere. Bethel 97 once again proved invaluable. They helped us serve the food and teas together with my husband Edward who also brewed the teas and helped in the kitchen. From all the wonderful smiles and positive comments I got, I know the evening was a success! Hope to see you all soon.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth

A note from the Honored Queen of Job's Daughter's Bethel 97

Thank you so much to everyone for supporting our Bethel by coming to the Pancake Breakfast and the Fashion Show. It is because of you that many girls will be able to pay their Grand Bethel fee's completely.
I would like to encourage everyone to come to our Friday night Meeting on June 7, 2002. We are going to have Masonic Fellowship along with Queen's Last Night. It would be our pleasure to see all of your smiling faces. Especially our Secret Dad's. Also, our 143rd Installation of Officers and Bethel Choir will be held on June 15, 2002, at 5:30 P.M. Tamara Roseli is Honored Queen Elect and Stefanie Enokian is Retiring Honored Queen. Thank you so much for all your love, support, and dedication to our Bethel this term. If it wasn't for you we wouldn't be the "Fairest in the Land."
Love Always,

Stefanie Nicole Enokian
Honored Queen
