Brethren!
Seeing that we are in January 2006, I hope that everybody shared a safe and glorious Holiday Season as I did. Although we are entering a new year with many new beginnings, we are also approaching an end to another successful Masonic year. I congratulate Worshipful Tim Halm on leading our Lodge during this successful year that was filled with many highlights.
I encourage everybody to attend our annual Installation of Officers, on Saturday night, January 21sty at 6:00 PM. The 2006 officer’s line is going to be a great one! There are many familiar faces, as well as many first timers. People are powerless without a leader, and a good leader is powerless without good people. Please show your support to this year’s officer’s line by showing up to the annual installation of
officers. There will be a dinner to follow, so please make reservations with the Lodge Secretary.
This new Masonic year is going to be an exciting one! We are going to have dinners on every first Thursday s of the month prior to the Stated Meeting, ladies events (for all Ladies) after those Stated Meeting dinners, bus trips, mystery trips, degree trips, social nights, BBQs, and much, much more. The year is going to be action packed! Although many plans are already in the works, I am still open to any suggestions that anybody would like to see
happen. I would love to plan events that you would like to attend.
I congratulate Brother Dennis Emeterio II and Brother Gabriel Mckenzie on passing their Entered Apprentice Degree Proficiencies as well as being passed to the degree of Fellowcraft Mason. Both of these Brothers have worked very hard and their persistence has paid off by advancing so quickly through their first two degrees. Great job gentleman!
In closing, I would like to thank Burbank Lodge, once again, for all of the continued support and confidence that has been entrusted to me. I am very proud to be installed this month as Worshipful Master, and with a hard working officers line like the one to be installed, there is no doubt that 2006 will be a very fun and prosperous year here in Burbank!

OPERATION PHONE HOME
Operation Phone Home is a campaign designed with the goal of providing prepaid international phone calling cards to as many military men and women serving overseas as can be reached. It will be an ongoing effort as long as American Military Personnel serve overseas, particularly in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Balkans.
The Masonic Service Association, on behalf of the Masonic fraternity, has entered into an agreement with the USO to participate in this program. MSA has met all of the requirements necessary to have a web site presence and a link to the USO web page and to have a Masonic Logo on the phone card. The card will include the logo of the USO, the participating phone company (AT&T), and the American Flag. On the left side of the card will appear the Square and
Compasses and the words Compliments of America's Freemasons. (Image below)
Anyone wishing to participate in this program may send a donation marked Operation Phone Home to:
The Masonic Service Association
8120 Fenton Street
Silver Spring, MD 20910-4785.
All of the monies received will go to this program and an accounting will be made by MSA at the end of each calendar year.
Or go to http://freemasonry.org and follow the links.
Thank you very much for your help!
